After a long draught of Spell, we could not be more excited to unveil the first styles of SUNDOWN!
"For the moment when the sun starts to set and the ever changing colours of the sky and landscape, till the final golden line dips below the horizon. This is the feeling and mood on our design team's mood board for our first collection of 2021."
Sundown may mark my favorite Spell collection to date - when we first previewed the line, I wanted to get every style for you all (and an extra for me)! I am in love with the dusky, muted colors that range through all three drops, complimented by soft neutrals. From the peachy desert ditsy florals in drop 1, to the mauve ridden with camels that appear in drop 2, to the ivory knits that we end on in drop 3, each installment brings more to fall for.
The best thing about the Sundown collection actually extends behind the outer beauty - every garment contains preferred, sustainable fibers. This has become Spell's design team's highest priority, and marks the largest milestone yet in their sustainability journey! We love knowing that each fabric in this collection was chosen with care to do the least harm to our beautiful planet.
The first drop of Sundown will arrive at harperandtucker.com at the official Spell drop time tomorrow - Tuesday, January 26 at 6pm EST!
This first style is a showstopper. We adore the Peachy Rae Gown! Wear her loose and flowy for a dreamy peasant look, or tie her with the included sash to define your waist and add a more structured vibe. I am obsessed with her neckline - you can wear her with the tassels untied for a v-neck look, or tie her to create a scrunched effect that can be worn as a boat neck or off the shoulder. The pinks and peaches throughout this ditsy print are swoon worthy - I love the idea of pairing this beauty with a chunky wooden block heel and an arm full of glistening golden bangles.
If you prefer a more playful, young at heart style, the Daisy Yellow Rae Playdress will be for you. I love the springy brightness of the yellow and pink ditsy floral, combined with the girly gathered sleeves, tiered skirt, and nipped-in tie waist. I think this mini is flirty with an espadrille or stacked wedge on vacation, but also works with a heeled booty in a muted neutral to trot about town. This dress is feminine, bubbly, and sweet - she is reminding us that shorter hemlines and warmer temperatures aren't so far off after all!
Due to the pandemic, Spell is continuing to produce 2021 collections in limited quantities for the US, making each piece that much more precious. We anticipate that styles will sell out quick! Know that we ordered the maximum amount that Spell would allow, and we are crossing our fingers that more stock will become available after drop time! If it does, we will be sure to bring in more styles and re-stock more sizes.
We recommend that you set your alarm and come to our Spell Collection page right at the drop time (Tuesday, January 26 at 6pm EST - sharp!) for your best chance at first pick of the drop! We also encourage you to register for an H&T rewards account (if you haven't already) so that you are on the VIP list and first to know when we get re-stocks! If there is a style you are looking for that you don't see at H&T, contact us and let us know, and we will do the best to get it in!
We hope you love the first drop of Sundown as much as we do! We look forward to shopping drop 1 with you tomorrow!

"Our design team's mood board for Folk Song was filled with, as usual, vintage photographs of muses from the 70s. This time, maybe a reflection of the time it was created, a lot of it was based on open spaces, adventures on the road and nature. A feeling of freedom but in quaint places on the road, the kind of getaway that ends up as dog eared, worn photographs in a family photo album. " - Spell
We are thrilled to reveal Spell's Folk Song collection at harperandtucker.com at the official drop time tonight: Monday, May 17 at 8pm EST!
