Every single piece of Mila.Vert clothing represents me, so I want every single piece to be kind to you. At the same time, it should also be kind to nature and the people who made it – and these are the core values that the brand is built upon.
- Tina Logar Bauchmüller, founder and designer
Mila.Vert was established by founder and designer, Tina Logar Bauchmüller, in 2015 after the birth of her first daughter. Empowered to create a line that not only reflected her minimalist design aesthetic, Tina additionally wanted her company to align with her personal ethos of respect for people and the planet. With sustainability at the forefront, Mila.Vert garments feature classic silhouettes with modern detailing and fabrication in the hopes they become investment staples for the every woman.
Mila.Vert produces their clothing in collaboration with two family-owned sewing companies and a knitting studio, all located in Slovenia, EU, where Mila.Vert originates. Mila.Vert prioritizes visits to the production sites, building personal relationships with the owners and ensuring the working standards for their employees. Workers work in a healthy, safe, non-discriminatory working environment, and every worker is provided at least a minimum wage in accordance with Slovenia law.
To perfect her designs, Tina collaborates closely with the seamstress and one of the owners of the manufacturing sites, creating prototypes and testing the longevity of each article before entering final production. Mila.Vert relies on input both within the company as well as outside of it as a way to ensure the quality of each design. The design process is intentionally slow and meticulous to make sure each clothing is made to last and can be worn again and again. Uncompromising in the use of environmentally friendly fabrication, each piece is intended to be timeless in its design rather than a response to fleeting trends in the industry. All garments are made-to-order as a way to reduce fabric waste and overproduction.
