Founded in 2002, BC Footwear is a PETA-certified vegan shoe company based out of Los Angeles, CA. Dedicated to self-expression through fashion, their design team pulls influence from their home in Venice to all over the globe. With features such as OrthoLite® padding (made of 5% recycled rubber and 15% repurposed production waste) and their patented Sey-Curve™ down curve, every BC shoe is designed with comfort, sustainability, and style in mind.
BC Footwear's shoe boxes are made from recycled cardboard and printed with plant based ink, and all packaging is fully recyclable. They love to craft their shoes out of natural and recycled materials whenever possible, and have committed to continuous innovation and exploration to leave the smallest carbon footprint possible. Using vegan materials already makes a big difference - their vegan leather contributes just one third of the environmental impact of cow leather. BC Footwear makes their shoes in a small family-owned factory in the Dongguan area of Southern China. BC's commitment to this factory is contingent on their adherence to strict social compliance standards set by BC, as well as international and local labor laws. Their factory has also committed to the necessary controls to maintain their 100% vegan certification.
